Christmas Tree

We bought a white flocked tree on clearance last year and I was determined to not let the years go by without decorating it or waiting for the clearance ornaments after Christmas. I decided to go to Tiapan in Layton and just do the whole tree. When Mike saw the 3 large bags of ornaments, he thought I’d over bought, but I told him if he wants the full tree look which he has always wanted in a designer tree, full of ornaments he’ll have to pay for it. It turns out we didn’t have enough ornaments to do the back side of the tree. I was excited about the color combination, Lime green, ocean blue and silver. I still need to add a few more porclein snowflakes. I was really happy about our new tree for the living room.
Last year we threw out our old artificial tree we’d had for a number of years. We decided to buy a tree permit and cut down a real tree. Mike bought a permit in Swan Valley and decided to spend the afternoon searching for the perfect tree on his way home from working in Jackson. He said it was real fun walking around the forest all by himself checking out the trees. Mike said its actually a challenge to find a tree that isn’t flawed in some why and is the right height (12 feet) for our great room. Unfortunately ,we couldn’t hang most of our ornaments on the tree because the branches were so weak, they would just pull the branches way down. Julianne was mad, because the ornaments we couldn’t hang on the tree were so sentimental. She decided to hang them from hooks and nobs around the kitchen instead of putting them back in the box. A little cluttery but she thought it was great.

SO pretty pretty--there is something great about beautiful trees/ornaments and good deals!
